Participants will explore dyslexia as a language-based learning difference and examine the connections between phonological awareness, oral language, morphology, and reading development. The course also highlights the important role SLPs and SLPAs play in supporting literacy skills and helping students become more successful readers.
The course emphasizes practical, therapy-ready strategies that can be incorporated into everyday sessions. Clinicians will leave with approachable tools and techniques to support students with dyslexia while strengthening collaboration with educators and other members of the literacy team.
By the end of the course, participants will feel more confident identifying opportunities to support reading development and applying evidence-based language strategies to support literacy outcomes in school-based practice.
