In this course, Letizia S. Hendrickson, MS, CCC-SLP, ADHD-RSP, explores the connection between ADHD and communication through a neurodiversity-affirming and equity-focused lens. Using current research and clinical examples, she highlights how ADHD can influence receptive and expressive language, fluency, social communication, literacy, and executive functioning.
You will gain practical, evidence-based strategies to support individuals with ADHD across the lifespan, including executive function-informed language interventions, compensatory supports, and approaches that build on strengths rather than deficits. The course also emphasizes the SLP’s role in interdisciplinary collaboration and when to consider referral for additional support.
Walk away with tools you can apply in school, home, and workplace settings to better identify communication needs and support more meaningful, functional outcomes.
