Kristin is an expert in the field of telepractice and shared not only the practical, therapeutic side, but the essential technological side, as well. She stressed the importance of knowing the rules and regulations of your home state and states you do telepractice in. She shared details of how to do assessment and therapy, what platforms are needed, and the “tools” to do quality therapy.

Char Boshart is a speech-language pathologist, author, seminar presenter, and president and co-founder of Speech Dynamics, Inc. She graduated with her Master’s degree from Western Michigan University under the extraordinary tutelage of Dr. Charles Van Riper, the “father” of articulation therapy during the final years of his illustrious career. Char began her career in the public schools in the early 70’s with a caseload of over 110 children. Since then, she has worked many years in the public schools, developed and ran her own private practice, and, for seven years was an Assistant Professor and Department Chair of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department at Loma Linda University in southern California. Her interest in creating effective therapy techniques has evolved into the development of several practical articulation publications, videos (articulation and language), and articles.

Kristin Edwards earned her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University in Virginia. She started her SLP career at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, then went into the schools.She was a school SLP for nine years in Yadkin County Schools also in North Carolina. Then, she advanced into telepractice. Kristin’s first telepractice experience was as a speech-language pathologist with Presence Telecare. She provided direct speech-language services for two years. From there, she moved into the position of Clinical Quality Manager for Presence Learning. She’s been in this position for over 7 years.
