There is a rapidly growing awareness of the importance of a culturally responsive practice when supporting students with complex communication needs. However, the lack of resources and training available to SLPs working with culturally/linguistically diverse (CLD) populations who require AAC creates challenges for the successful implementation and generalization of AAC strategies. This final part of the 3 part AT/AAC conference will discuss various aspects of culturally and linguistically responsive practice in AAC.
