This course is the first of a 2 part of a 6-hour presentation on assessment and treatment in children with cleft palate. This part addresses early feeding difficulties commonly observed in infants and children with cleft palate with or without cleft lip. In addition, early speech and language difficulties are examined with emphasis on appropriate early intervention approaches to remediating the speech-language difficulties.
