Dyslexia

Dyslexia

Overview:

Dyslexia is a neurodevelopmental disorder marked by difficulties in accurate or fluent word recognition and spelling. These challenges often stem from deficits in phonological processing, despite normal intelligence. SLPs play a role in diagnosing and treating dyslexia by targeting phonemic awareness and reading fluency. Intervention helps improve literacy skills crucial to academic and functional success.
