This course will review the development of typical parent-child interaction and how the discovery of a developmental disability impacts that process. Knowing each parent-child dynamic is different, video interviews with families who have gone through the Early Start process will be reviewed and discussed. Parents reflect back on what that period in their lives felt like and articulate what they wish they had been able to tell providers at the time.
