Treatment Options for Auditory Processing Disorders: Therapy, Classroom and IEP Recommendations

Speech pathologists and audiologists are tasked with providing treatment and academic support to students with Auditory Processing Disorders (APD). Treatment for these disorders is dependent on the type of auditory processing deficit. Specific auditory processing deficits will be reviewed. Direct therapy and academic accommodations specific to each auditory processing deficit will be provided to improve treatment effectiveness and academic outcomes for children of all ages.
