At its core, speech production is about motor adjustments, auditory and intra-oral feedback, and cognitive intention. This session will connect and detail a methodology to simply and effectively utilize these components in speech sound acquisition and generalization. Did you know that using analytic language learning targets and goals can hinder gestalt language development? Strategies to enhance the communication skills of gestalt language processors and intervention support in the 6 stages of the Natural Language Acquisition Framework will be explored. The School-Age track includes presentations on speech sound generalization, supporting gestalt language processors, and bilingual assessments.
