This course meets ASHA's DEI PD requirement.
As speech-language pathologists, we are responsible for understanding the cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the individuals we serve. While many of us are familiar with concepts like cultural humility, health literacy, and disability-affirming care, it’s not always easy to know how to apply them in daily practice. In this course, we’ll work through real-world scenarios from both pediatric and adult settings that challenge us to think critically and problem-solve with cultural responsiveness in mind. Together, we’ll build confidence in making thoughtful, informed decisions to better support our diverse caseloads.
