This course meets ASHA's DEI PD requirement.
PART 1 - Participants will explore the dynamic assessment (DA) process, including example DA units with pre- and post-test probes, modifiability scales, and protocols for use and interpretation. The session will provide practical guidance on integrating DA into routine evaluations, along with access to additional resources. Presenters will walk participants through clinical video examples, demonstrating how to assess learning strategies, responsivity, and examiner effort. Attendees will also develop an action plan for implementing DA with at least one client.
PART 2 - This session is a follow-up session where presenters will facilitate discussions on key topics, including analyzing results, sharing created materials, addressing questions, and documenting findings for progress monitoring and evaluation reports. The session will also focus on strategies for making DA a standard part of clinical practice.
