Este curso está diseñado para patólogos del habla y lenguaje, terapeutas del habla y lenguaje, y asistentes de patología del habla y lenguaje que desean fortalecer sus conocimientos y habilidades en la intervención temprana para niños con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). A través de un enfoque basado en la evidencia, la MS Damaris Sánchez Rivera, CCC-SLP guiará a los participantes en la exploración de los fundamentos teóricos y las estrategias prácticas esenciales para trabajar con niños pequeños (de 0 a 5 años) y sus familias.

El curso abarca desde la detección temprana y la comprensión de las características del TEA en la primera infancia hasta la aplicación de modelos de intervención naturalistas del desarrollo, con énfasis en el rol del patólogo del habla y lenguaje como líder del equipo. Se presentarán estrategias y herramientas prácticas que se pueden implementar de inmediato para promover el desarrollo de la comunicación social y del lenguaje.

This course is designed for speech-language pathologists, speech-language therapists, and speech-language pathology assistants who want to strengthen their knowledge and skills in early intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Through an evidence-based approach, Damaris Sánchez Rivera, MS, CCC-SLP, will guide participants in exploring the theoretical foundations and essential practical strategies for working with young children (ages 0–5) and their families.

The course covers early detection and understanding of the characteristics of ASD in early childhood, as well as the application of naturalistic developmental intervention models, with an emphasis on the role of the speech-language pathologist as team leader. Practical strategies and tools that can be immediately implemented to promote the development of social communication and language will also be presented.
