Cluttering is a type of fluency disorder that SLPs may feel unconfident in due to the lack of education provided in their training. However, as research in the area of cluttering is beginning to grow, so is our understanding and effectiveness with diagnosis and treatment. Cluttering cases are often complex, with other disorder areas that may be present and important to consider. This course will explore a variety of cluttering cases ranging from adolescents through adults. Participants will learn about best practices for cluttering from real cases of individuals who clutter. We will explore how the current evidence can guide our decision-making, while also still putting the individual and their communication goals at the forefront of the therapy process.
