This course centers on practical, evidence-informed strategies to support both short- and long-term workload planning in school settings. You will explore the foundations of workload-based service delivery, including its benefits, outcomes, and alignment with ASHA recommendations, while gaining concrete tools for documenting workload activities and analyzing service delivery data.
The course addresses clinician-driven strategies and administrative-level approaches that can be implemented immediately to support planning, advocacy, implementation, and sustainability of workload-based service delivery. You will also hear from experienced school-based SLPs who have successfully implemented workload models and flexible scheduling to improve student services while supporting sustainable professional practice. Practical tools, templates, strategies, and resources to support school-based SLPs are shared throughout the course.
