This course meets ASHA's DEI PD requirement.
This course is geared toward SLPs who interact with clientele, students, patients, and families from diverse cultures, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This will be an introduction to understanding different frames of reference that can impact our interactions and communication, as well as their use of resources. The more layers of identity there are, the more complexity there is in understanding differing perspectives and reactions to those perspectives.
