Auditory and working memory deficits are often overlooked as contributing factors to language, auditory, and academic skill challenges for children of all ages. Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists have an important role in identifying and treating auditory memory deficits. Treatment for memory deficits in children can include direct therapy, technology, academic accommodations, memory strategies, and student advocacy. Practical intervention options will be discussed along with teacher and parent training resources.
