In Nina’s follow-up course, she continued to share her extensive knowledge on the evidence-based views, analysis, and therapy of neurologically based stuttering for individuals 5 years and older. She provided informative answers as to why our typical stuttering therapy is not always effective, as well as five therapy prerequisites complete with insights and activities to use in comprehensive, successful stuttering therapy.

Char Boshart, MA, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist, author, seminar presenter, and president and co-founder of Speech Dynamics, Inc. She graduated with her Master’s degree from Western Michigan University under the extraordinary tutelage of Dr. Charles Van Riper, the “father” of articulation therapy during the final years of his illustrious career. Char began her career in the public schools in the early 70’s with a caseload of over 110 children. Since then, she has worked many years in the public schools, developed and ran her own private practice, and, for seven years was an Assistant Professor and Department Chair of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department at Loma Linda University in southern California. Her interest in creating effective therapy techniques has evolved into the development of several practical articulation publications, videos (articulation and language), and articles.

Nina Reeves, M.S. CCC-SLP, BCS-F, ASHA Fellow, is a board-certified specialist in fluency disorders. Nina is a staff fluency specialist for Frisco ISD and a fluency specialist consultant for San Diego Unified Schools. Nina is a nationally recognized workshop presenter in the area of fluency disorders and is an author of clinically based materials. She is the co-owner of Stuttering Therapy Resources. Nina is a recipient of numerous awards, including the ASH-F Van Hattum Award for outstanding contributions to public schools, and recently was awarded the 2019 ASHA Certificate of Recognition for Special Contributions in Preschool-Grade 12 Education Settings.
