In this course, Terri shares her down-to-earth techniques and interesting experiences of working with teen aged children with severe disabilities. You’ll learn practical, highly useful strategies such as, how to best use videos in therapy, and the rationale behind them. From her observations over the years, she shares several “hurdles” that must be dealt with when working with this population.

Char Boshart is a speech-language pathologist, author, seminar presenter, and president and co-founder of Speech Dynamics, Inc. She graduated with her Master’s degree from Western Michigan University under the extraordinary tutelage of Dr. Charles Van Riper, the “father” of articulation therapy during the final years of his illustrious career. Char began her career in the public schools in the early 70’s with a caseload of over 110 children. Since then, she has worked many years in the public schools, developed and ran her own private practice, and, for seven years was an Assistant Professor and Department Chair of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department at Loma Linda University in southern California. Her interest in creating effective therapy techniques has evolved into the development of several practical articulation publications, videos (articulation and language), and articles.
Teresa Farnham has four decades of experience in the field of speech-language pathology. She’s worked in a variety of settings, including 20+ years in the schools, and continues to see children in her private practice, Clarity for Communication LLC. She is a national presenter in conferences and conventions and presents on professional issues, speech sound disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication. She was the 2018 recipient of the Patricia C. Lindamood Clinical Leadership Award.
