Stuttering is a complex disorder, and we must look beyond the physical disfluencies to support our students and their long-term effective communication. Every student who stutters is different, so every treatment plan and session for students who stutter should also be completely different. Treatment for children who stutter is based on the most recent evidence supporting the cognitive, emotional, and social facets of stuttering. Claire will discuss how to approach our students who stutter holistically, incorporating a variety of goals and strategies.
