In this course, Speech Language Pathologists who are bilingual or monolingual will learn important considerations when assessing, identifying, and treating English Language Learners from birth through five years of age and support their families in order to ensure the best outcomes for clients and their families. Speech Pathologists will learn the importance of inter-professional and community education in order to clarify misconceptions around bilingual development that may hinder children from reaching their potential as bilingual language learners.
