Understanding the Pharmacologic Effects on Communication & Swallowing (.2 ASHA CEUs)

This course shares factors related to pharmaceutical actions, to include citing research of how the reduction in kidney and liver function in older people can cause certain medications to trigger toxic and negative outcomes. Evidence-based factors will be shared, to include a review of adverse drug events per drug class, and their subsequent effects on cognition and swallowing function.​
