Course Description

In this episode, Michelle is joined by Dr. Gregg Black, the current President of the SC Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society, and guest for Episode 13 “So You’re Telling Me Allergy Testing is Important?”, and Episode 18 “Dairy vs Soy vs What? The Correct Formula for Your Allergy and Why!” They are taking a closer examination of that elusive Eosinophilic Esophagitis diagnosis. Let's admit, most of us had never heard of “EOE”, as it is more commonly known, in grad school, but it appears to be popping up left and right these days when we go to obtain a past medical history for our patients. This is a hard diagnosis to come by, and unfortunately, it is a hard diagnosis to effectively treat, and for the “Feeding Therapist”, it's hard to try new foods when we are worried about which ones our patient’s could be allergic too. Dr. Gregg Black comes back to explain all about EOE. Through his helpful tips, all of us in the trenches will find better footing in the evaluation and treatment process for our patients.
